Trever Feathers picked up a $6,000 Octoberfest victory.
What won the race: Tracking down race-long leader Mason Zeigler and sliding by him out of turn two on the 27th lap, eighth-starting Trever Feathers of Winchester, Va., led the rest of Friday's 35-lap Octoberfest feature at Hagerstown Speedway. Feathers beat Zeigler by 1.647 seconds for the $6,000 payday, his third Bernheisel Racing Components Fall Clash Series victory and his fourth overall victory of the season.
Quotable: "I kind of put us behind early, but it just shows there's no quit. ... We get a little mad at each other every once in a while, but when it's time to put our heads down and dig, they put their heads down and dig," Feathers said.
Key notes: Feathers notched his fourth overall feature win of the season, adding to a local Super Late Model victory July 3 at Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, Md., worth $4,515. ... His other two Fall Clash wins came Sept. 7 at Action Track USA in Kutztown, Pa., and Sept. 20 at Clinton County Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa. ... Points leader Mason Zeigler led the opening 26 laps before giving way to Feathers and fading back at the checkers. ... Polesitter Rick Eckert settled for third. ... Kyle Hardy held third in the early going before giving way to Feathers (lap 16), Gregg Satterlee (lap 20) and Ross Robinson (lap 21), finishing sixth. ... J.T. Spence climbed five spots to place eighth. ... Dylan Yoder pulled off under green on the 26th lap and was credited with 21st. ... The Octoberfest feature lasted 12 minutes with 14 starters completing 35 laps.
