Joey Tanner picked up his second straight NELMS victory.
What won the race: Piloting his father Jody Tanner's No. 36 Victory Circle, Joey Tanner of Portland, Ore., overtook Ron Brewster of Redmond, Ore., on lap 23, leading the remaining distance for his second consecutive Northwest Extreme Late Model Series victory at Cottage Grove Speedway.
Key notes: Tanner was the winner of the series season opener at Sunset Speedway Park on April 25. ... Hometown driver Curtis Towns led much of the distance, but retired with mechanical issues on lap 21. ... The series made the first of three trips to Cottage Grove.
