Notes: The 2020 Topless 100 marks the 26th running of the crown jewel event that began in 1993. … The race was rained out in 2016 and 2018. … The race is co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series. … The event format is the same as in 2019, when the program was expanded to three nights, with time trials, heat races, consolation races and a $5,000-to-win main event on Thursday and Friday. Drivers earn points in each of the two preliminary nights that determine the lineups for Saturday’s finale. On Saturday, consolation events set the remaining lineup for the Topless 100. … The 2019 purse was increased by more than $46,000 from 2017. The purse, in excess of $185,000, is the same for 2019. … The Topless 100 has averaged 56.6 cars over the last 10 events, including a high of 73 in 2010. … The event record is 107 entrants in 2001. … Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C., won last year’s race, part of a dazzling stretch for Madden that saw the then-44-year-old star win three straight crown jewel events while driving for Tennessee-based Scott Bloomquist Racing. … There have been 15 Topless 100 winners since its inception in 1993, with six winners in the last six events. … Five drivers have multiple Topless 100 wins, led by Hall of Famers Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., with five and Billy Moyer of Batesville with four. … Jimmy Mars, Jimmy Owens and Shannon Babb have two wins apiece. … No driver has won back-to-back Topless 100s. … Five home-state drivers have won: Tony Cardin (Greenbrier, ’94); Moyer (Batesville, ’95, ’97, ’02, ’05); Bill Frye (Greenbrier, ’96); Wendell Wallace (Conway, ’98); and Jared Landers (Batesville, ‘10).
