BRUNSWICK, Ga. (Sept. 13) — Starting outside the front row, Tyler Ivey of Tallahassee, Fla., led all the way at Golden Isles Speedway's Bill Mishoe Memorial for his first United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series victory of the season. Ivey earned $3,000 in outrunning four-race UDLMCS winner Johnny Collins of Jacksonville, Fla., in the 40-lapper. Polesitter Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., battled with Collins for second much of the race but ended up third with Tampa-area brothers Jack Nosbisch Jr. and Keith Nosbisch rounding out the top five at the 3/8-mile southeastern Georgia oval.

Notes: Ivey rebounded from a tough finish the previous week at North Florida Speedway when a last-lap spin robbed him of a second-place finish. ... The night's heat race winners could have doubled their $3,000 winner's purse if they elected to start on the tail and won; all decided to keep their starting spots up front. ... Darrell Padgett, the night's fast qualifier, finished 11th. ... Shane Williams scratched from racing action after slamming into the backstretch barrier and nearly flipping his car in time trials. ... Next up for UDLMCS competitors is a Sept. 27 event at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Fla., near Tampa.
