NEVADA, Mo. (Oct. 11) — John Anderson of Omaha, Neb., assured himself his first championship on the O'Reilly Midwest LateModel Racing Association with a stirring victory from his 10th starting spot in the series finale at Nevada Speedway. Anderson overtook Jason Bodenhamer of Centerview, Mo., in the final 10 laps and went on to a $3,000 payday and the touring title with the 19-year-old organization. | Slideshow

David Turner of Creighton, Mo., Anderson's closest rival in the points chase, was third with polesitter Joe Kosiski of Omaha and hometown driver Brantlee Gotschall rounding out the top five. Gotschall's finish guaranteed his MLRA Rookie of the Year honors.
