Who's Hot: Friday’s winner Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., Super Late Model racing’s first three-time winner of 2026.

Who's Not: Riggs Motorsports driver Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga., twice missing the top 10 at the Sunshine Nationals and fading from the pole to 13th on Friday.

Around the Pits: After Saturday’s action, WoO competitors will take a two-week break and come right back to Volusia for Feb. 9-14’s DIRTcar Nationals (the first three nights are independent DIRTcar events and the final three nights WoO competition). … Thursday’s winner Chris Madden was battling for second on the 19th lap of Friday’s feature when he slowed; his Infinity Chassis house car was pushed to the pits.

Up next: South Georgia Showdown Jan. 30-31 on the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga.

This Date in Dirt Late Model History: On Jan. 24, 1998, Hall of Famer Freddy Smith races to victory in Southern All Star competition on the oil-packed clay at high-speed Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Ga., outrunning Skip Arp and Bart Hartman.
