Who's Hot: Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, N.C., a winner Wednesday and Thursday at Volusia, hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in a feature since Sept. 13, 2025.
Who's Not: Second-year WoO regular Jake Timm of Winona, Minn., who finished 15th Thursday at Volusia, has yet to finish better than 13th in 2026.

Around the Pits: Tim McCreadie, who entered his 500th WoO event, rallied from 22nd to second in Thursday’s 35-lapper at Volusia. … Brandon Sheppard on Thursday captured his 50th career WoO heat race victory. … One night after his first career Super Late Model victory, Michael Leach of Sun River, Mont., failed to make Thursday’s feature lineup, finishing fifth in a consolation race.

This Date in Dirt Late Model History: On Feb. 13, 1992, Hall of Famer Larry Moore raced to the 10th and final Speedweeks victory of his career at Putnam County Speedway in Satsuma, Fla., where he’d later reside. Moore took the checkers in the STARS-sanctioned 30-lapper ahead of Ronnie Johnson and fast qualifier Steve Francis.
Speedweeks trivia: What was unusual about the Mary Lu Stephens-owned car that Mike Marlar drove to victory in the 2010 East Bay Winternationals opener?
