Who's Hot: Brandon Overton of Evans, Ga., has been fourth or better in all five Lucas Oil Series events in 2026.

Around the Pits: The Rocket Chassis house car has a whopping 26 top-five finishes during Speedweeks at Ocala Speedway (14 for Josh Richards, a dozen for Brandon Sheppard). … Kyle Bronson, who fell out of the lead Wednesday with rear-end failure, is still looking for his first Lucas Oil Series victory in five seasons and his first top-five of any kind since Nov. 2.

This Date in Dirt Late Model History: On Feb. 26, 1972, Eddie MacDonald Jr. captured the Speedweeks finale in Jacksonville, Fla. MacDonald, the Tifton, Ga., resident who died in 2018, was inducted into the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in 2004.
Speedweeks trivia: When Rick Eckert won 2012’s WoO finale at Ocala, what driver ended up in the backstretch wall after contact with Eckert while trying to make a last-lap pass?
