Race details: The Wieland Winternationals on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series heads for its third venue with a $7,000-to-win non-points event, the first of four nights of racing at Golden Isles.
Weather forecast: Foggy early in day, then partly cloudy later (20 percent chance of rain). High 77F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph; Partly cloudy skies in evening, then becoming foggy and damp overnight (21 percent chance of rain). Low 56F. Winds light and variable.
Who's Hot: His Volusia struggles behind, Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, heads to Golden Isles with four straight podium finishes along with victories at All-Tech and Ocala.
Who's Not: Lucas Oil returnee Daniel Hilsabeck is looking for his first finish better than 13th in 2026 (after ending 2025 with his first career Late Model victory).

Around the Pits: The late Scott Bloomquist (seven victories) is the winningest Speedweeks driver overall at Golden Isles. … While virtually all Lucas Oil visits to Golden Isles have come in January or February, the series did make a May 19-21 visit to the track in 2020 as the series broke its Covid-19 hiatus. … Golden Isles has hosted 58 Speedweeks events overall, 25 with the Lucas Oil circuit. … The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has the next most sanctioned events at the track with 14. … Thursday-Saturday are points events at Golden Isles; the tour counts a driver’s best five points nights among all Speedweeks events.

This Date in Dirt Late Model History: On March 4, 2006, Steve Francis of Ashland, Ky., led all 40 laps of the Early Bird Classic from outside the front row for an unsanctioned victory at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Ky. Shannon Babb finished second and Brian Birkhofer third in an event drawing 74 Super Late Models.
