Race details: The Wieland Winternationals on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series continues with a $10,000-to-win points event, the second of four nights of racing at Golden Isles.
Weather forecast: Foggy early in day, then partly cloudy (24 percent chance of precipitation), High 82F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph; Partly cloudy in evening with fog developing overnight (24 percent chance of precipitation). Low 62F. Winds light and variable.
Who's Hot: Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., has a stretch of nine straight top-five finishes while Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, owns a stretch of seven top-five finishes in his last eight starts.
Who's Not: Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, Ill., has been better than 10th once in his last 11 features.

Around the Pits: Jonathan Davenport on Wednesday notched his fifth career Speedweeks victory at Golden Isles and fourth on the Lucas Oil circuit. … The 40 cars entered were four fewer than last year’s lone Golden Isles event (which was held in January). … Lucas Oil hosted its first March action at the 4/10-mile oval.

This Date in Dirt Late Model History: On March 5, 2014, Clay Daly of Watsonville, Calif., capitalized on Bobby Hogge IV’s midrace spin for a West Coast Late Model Shootout victory worth $3,000 at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway. Daly took the checkers ahead of Garrett Alberson and R.C. Whitwell.
