Notes: The Al Belt Custom Homes Silver Dollar Nationals will run at its third different venue in five years for the 16th annual edition. … Founded at the now-closed I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., the event ran there 12 years (2011-’22) before being moving to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., from 2023-’25, Shelby County Speedway now hosts the Silver Dollar Nationals. … The four-day event kicks off with Wednesday’s 40-lap, $10,000-to-win Malvern East-West Series action before Lucas Oil Late Model Series sanction begins with Thursday’s 50-lap, $15,000-to-win preliminary feature. Lucas Oil time trials and dual heat races are set for Friday with points setting the lineups for Saturday’s consolations and 80-lap, $52,000-to-win finale; a 20-lap, $3,000-to-win non-qualifier race will take place before the 80-lap main event. … Taking a page from previous Kosiski promotions, the event has a higher payout for Saturday’s runner-up ($53,000) than the winner. … Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., led the final 14 laps to win last year’s $25,053 Kosiski Family 53 feature in Lucas Oil Series action at Shelby County and has won 11 of the last 14 races he’s entered; last year’s event drew 38 entries. … Hudson O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., used a three-wide pass to take command as he led the final 32 laps of 2024’s Lucas Oil-sanctioned Kosiski Family 53 at Shelby County. … Dylan Thornton of Orcutt, Calif. ($10,076 last July 12) and Dallon Murty of Chelsea, Iowa ($5,156 last Aug. 16) are previous Malvern Bank Series winners who are expected to enter in Super Late Models. … Modifieds are on the undercard Wednesday-Friday with sport mods (Wednesday), stock cars (Wednesday-Thursday) and sport compacts (Friday) joining the action; hobby stocks share the spotlight for Saturday’s finale.
