StormPay invitationals scheduled for Nov. 23-24

Invitations will be sent out to 120 drivers that have earned the right to participate in the $2,000-to-win second annual Crate Racin’ USA Weekly Racing Series Fall Nationals Invitational Race at Columbus (Miss.) Speedway Nov. 23-24.
In addition to the Invitational Race on Nov. 23, the top six drivers from each of the three StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series Regions, and the 17 track champions will also be eligible to participate in special events Nov. 24.
Drivers can also participate in the $3,000-to-win StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series event Nov. 24 at Columbus.
The 120 invitees for the invitational are the top six drivers from the West, East and South Regions of the StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series, plus the top six drivers from each of the 17 StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series-sanctioned tracks, excluding the top six regional drivers. The format will be qualifying, heat races, consolation races (if needed), and the 40-lap, $2,000-to-win main event.
Also during the Thanksgiving weekend will be a 20-lap Race of Regions, pitting the top six drivers from each of the three regions, plus a 20-lap Race of Champions for the 17 track champions. — Roby Helm
CARS Fall Nationals set for Oct. 13
The second annual Crate American Racing Series Fall Nationals is scheduled for Oct. 13 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill. The $2,500-to-win event is the final points night for CARS competitors. The 40-lapper features a $200 bonus for fast time, a $200 dash and a $20 bonus for each led lap of the feature. — Jimmy Dearing
