Editor's note: A week after the race, Brandon Haley was stripped of his victory for using a chemically-altered tired. Haley lost his earnings and was fined $2,000 by Fastrak.
LAVONIA, Ga. (April 3) — Hometown driver Brandon "Cornbread" Haley grabbed a $3,000 Fastrak touring series victory for Crate Late Models on Saturday at Lavonia Speedway's Late Model Mania. Haley captured the 40-lapper, one of three main events for Late Model-style cars at Lavonia.
Royce Bray of Hull, Ga., was second followed by David Smith of Inman, S.C., Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., and Dennis "Rambo" Franklin of Gaffney, S.C. Fourteen cars finished on the lead lap.
