Wells back on winning track at Outlaw
MUSKOGEE, Okla. (June 18) — Resuming his domination on the Race Brothers Show Me Racing Series, Justin Wells of Aurora, Mo., raced from sixth to first in only four laps Friday at Outlaw Motor Speedway en route to his series-leading fifth victory of the season. Wells, who has finished no worse than second in seven series events, earned $1,000.
Polesitter Randy Zimmerman of Fort Scott, Kan., led the first three laps and ended up second after losing the lead to Wells on an early restart. Larry Campbell of Van Buren, Ark., ran as high as second before finishing third while Shane Essary of Aurora and 14th-starting Chris Morelock of Springfield, Mo., rounded out the top five. Wells won the first four races of the season before a pair of second-place finishes June 11-12 in Humbolt, Kan., and West Plains, Mo.
