Roberts races to SAS East victory at Cherokee
GAFFNEY, S.C. (July 3) — Three-time and reigning series champion Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., won his third Southern All Star East race of the season and second in a row Saturday at Cherokee Speedway. Roberts pocketed $4,000 for the triumph at the 4/10-mile Upstate oval.
Ohio invader Jim Rasey was second followed by Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C., Brent Dixon of Elberton, Ga., and Jeff Smith of Dallas, N.C. Johnny Pursley of Clover, S.C., who entered the race as the series points leader, was sixth.
