Bentley rolls to $2,000 Rolling Thunder victory
ARARAT, Va. (July 23) — Blake Bentley of Duncan, S.C., got the jump on polesitter and fellow front-row starter Albert Cosnahan Friday at Rolling Thunder Speedway and led all 40 laps of the Fastrak Southeast event. Bentley earned $2,000 for his second touring event of the season on Virginia State Championship weekend.
Cosnahan settled for second with Winky McGee, Kevin Gwynn and David Smith rounding out the top five. The Virginia State Championship weekend concluded Saturday at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Va., where Shanon Buckingham of Morristown, Tenn., earned the $3,000 victory.
