Joe Godsey captures fair race at Brownstown
BROWNSTOWN, Ind. (July 29) — Joe Godsey of Bedford, Ind., overtook Marty O’Neal of Spencer, Ind., with a high-side pass on the 20th lap Thursday at Brownstown Speedway and led the rest of the 25-lap Indiana Late Model Series event during the Jackson County Fair.
Greg Johnson rallied late to finish second in the Crate Late Model event while O’Neal settled for third after leading 17 laps. Mark Barber and Steve Godsey rounded out the top five while polesitter Zak Blackwood, who led the first two laps, ended up seventh.
