Strength grabs MSCCS victory at Jackson

BYRAM, Miss. (May 14) — Hometown driver Brooks Strength won from the pole position Saturday at Jackson Motor Speedway for his second Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory of the season and fourth overall at the quarter-mile oval.

Strength, who also won the April 2 MSCCS opener at Jackson, earned $2,500 for the victory.

Chad Thrash of Meridian, Miss., came from his seventh starting spot to finish second followed by reigning series champion David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss. Cliff Williams of Star, Miss., rallied from the fifth row and series points leader Klint Byars of Carrollton, Miss., rounded out the top five finishers.
