USA victory expands Tippen's SUPR lead

STERLINGTON, La. (May 25) — Series points leader Allen Tippen of Minden, La., notched his first Southern United Professional Racing victory of the season Friday at USA Speedway. Tippen, who started sixth, earned $2,000 for his eight career SUPR victory. | Slideshow
Pole-starting Kevin Sitton of Baytown, Texas, settled for second while Bubba Mullins of West Monroe, La., was third. Steven Whiteaker Jr of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Ronny Adams of Diana, Texas, rounded out the top five.
Tippen’s previous series victory came Aug. 20, 2011, at Jones Motor Speedway in Chatham, La.
