FAQs: Firecracker 100 pay-per-view information

Frequently asked questions about DirtonDirt.com's live pay-per-view production of June 27-29’s Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa.:

How does Friday's rainout affect me?: If you purchased a complete three-day package, you're set. You will receive complete access to both of Saturday's racing programs. Those purchasing a single-day package for Friday will receive complete access to Saturday afternoon's program, but would be required to purchase a Saturday evening package in order to watch the second program headlined by the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100.

What kind of pay-per-view packages are available?: Click this link.

What will I get if purchase the pay-per-view?: Multicamera coverage of every lap of action with prerace and postrace shows, driver interviews, roving reporter and more. We expect to provide more than 15 hours of live coverage. You'll also have the opportunity to chat with other viewers.

How much does it cost?: $42.99 for a complete package for DirtonDirt.com subscribers (or $45.99 for non-subscribers). Nightly packages for the first two nights are $18.99; Saturday’s standalone package is $21.99. You'll need a credit card at our ordering page to select your package.

Is my computer capable of receiving pay-per-view?: If you have a high-speed connection and you're typically able to view videos online, you're set. Regularly-used computers five years old or newer with recent software shouldn't have any problems.

Is it just like watching TV?: For the most part, although you computer screen is likely a bit smaller and the picture isn't quite as a sharp as some television broadcasts. As long as you have a steady high-speed internet connection, you should be able to watch smooth video throughout each night's program.

Is the live production available on mobile devices?: A computer and full web browser may provide the best experience, but most smartphones and tablets, including iPhones and iPads, can be used as well.

What's the racing schedule?: Thursday and Friday’s events are complete World of Outlaws Late Model Series racing programs (time trials, heats, consolations and $6,000-to-win features). Saturday’s program includes heats, consolations, non-qualifiers' race and the 100-lap feature paying $30,000-to-win.

What time does the production begin?: About 6:30 p.m. (Eastern time) each night. Hot laps are scheduled to beginning at 6:50 p.m. each evening.

Can I watch from work?: Maybe not. Many places of businesses use security firewalls on computer systems that prevent live video. If you receive a server message (something like rtmp://dirtondirt.streamguys.com:80/live) it's likely a firewall issue. Most home networks won't have such firewall issues.

Who will be announcing?: World of Outlaws announcer Rick Eshelman will do play-by-play along with Lernerville Speedway announcer Dow Carnahan.

Who is doing the production?: DirtonDirt.com co-founder Michael Rigsby will oversee a specially assembled production team that brings extensive broadcast experience. Jay Williams of Parker Street Productions is directing with videography by Steve Gigeous, Mike Quinn and Lee Knepshield and assistance from others.
