MASON CITY, Iowa (July 10) — Starting on the pole and building a half-track lead by halfway, Chris Simpson of Oxford, Iowa, dominated Wednesday at I-35 Speedway for his second Corn Belt Clash victory of the season and eighth of his career. | Slideshow
Simpson earned $3,000 for his victory at the half-mile oval at the North Iowa Fairgrounds, outrunning three-time series champion and older brother Chad Simpson of Mount Vernon, Iowa. Outside front-row starter Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., was third followed by Andrew McKay of Edina, Minn., and Rick Wendling of Hazleton, Iowa, in the 13-car field.
