LEBANON, Mo. (May 30) — Carrying momentum in the high groove, Shane Essary of Aurora, Mo., swept around Conner Ward of Wichita, Kan.,in the final corner at Midway Speedway for a victory on the Show-Me Racin' Series. Ward finished second followed by Leslie Essary of Crane, Mo., Ken Essary of Galena, Mo., and Chuck Comer of Joplin, Mo. Roger Wilson led early but didn't last up front long, and Jeremy Kelley was moving into contention when a turn-one spin stalled his charge. Ward stayed in control in the low groove, but Shane Essary ran side-by-side in the high groove in battling for the lead. Essary dropped low through traffic in the late stages of the race, but returned to his high line with two laps remaining en route to victory. | Slideshow
