What won the race: For the second consecutive night Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., led all 25 laps in dominating fashion, winning Saturday's Deuces Wild Championship finale at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. Dillard beat Terry Phillips to the checkers by 1.364 seconds for the $4,500 payday, his second career victory on the Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series and United Rebel Late Model tours.
Quotable: “Unfortunately the past three races, the starting point won the race. If we would’ve redrew a little better, we would’ve had a shot (to win) in the modified,” Dillard said. “I hate the last two races finished in the rubber, but it is what it is and just happy to have three firsts and a second.”
Key notes: Dillard led all 50 feature laps contested in Late Model competition, earning more than $7,000 on the weekend. ... It was his fourth overall win of the season. ... Dillard nearly swept all four races he entered, coming up just one spot short in Saturday's modified finale. ... Morgan Bagley pursued Dillard for nearly the entire distance until a turn-four hail mary sent him high up the track, allowing Terry Phillips to nip him at the line by 0.042 of a second for runner up honors; Bagley settled for third. ... Tyler Wolff gained four spots for a fourth-place finish. ... Jake Nightingale climbed four spots and rounded out the top 10, clinching the 2025 United Rebel Series title. ... The race was slowed by two cautions, the first coming on lap 18 when third-running Eli Ross spun down into the backstretch infield; he appeared to show frustration with the lapped car of Colby Moore before pulling off. Ross was credited with 21st. ... Sixth-running Brandon Morton spun in turn two on the ensuing restart for the final stoppage; he did not continue and was credited with 20th. ... The weekend doubleheader served as the first major Super Late Model event at Texas Motor Speedway since Sept. 18, 2021, a $50,000 unsanctioned affair won by Brandon Overton. ... The 25-lap finale lasted 17 minutes with 17 starters completing the distance. ... Shane Hebert was scheduled to start second before failing to make the call.
On the move: Runner up Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo., started seventh.
