What won the race: Starting outside the front row, second-winningest all-time NCRA driver Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., raced to victory on the Fourth of July at 81 Speedway. Berck took the checkers ahead of a pair of home-state drivers, Chris Kratzer of Haysville and polesitter Chase Junghans of Manhattan.
Key notes: Berck also won the previous night at U.S. 30 Speedway in Columbus, Neb., on the Nebraska-based Super Late Model Racing Series. ... He has 28 career NCRA victories, 31 fewer than leader Kelly Boen. ... Gary Gorby was disqualified and placed last in the rundown because his car weighed too light postrace. ...
