What won the race: Polesitter Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., dominated the event, leading every lap without a serious challenge. Ogle collected $4,000 for his first Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series victory.
Quotable: “It’s good to win for all us Tennessee racers to keep the bragging rights in the Volunteer State," Ogle said. Key notes: Travis Greer drew a lap-18 caution. ... Zack Mitchell retired after bringing out a lap-23 yellow; Anthony White also went pitside. ... Bobby Mays collected Anthony Sanders for a lap-26 caution. ... The series made its fourth-ever visit to Bulls Gap. ... Jason Trammell of Knoxville, Tenn., collected $2,000 for winning the Limited Late Model main event, while Jason Welshan of Maryville, Tenn., topped the Crate Late Model feature.
On the move: Kennie Compton Jr. of Bland, Va., rallied from 18th to round out the top five.
Winner's sponsors: Ogle pilots a Blount Motorsports Rocket Chassis powered by a Vic Hill Race Engine with sponsorship from Arnold Trucking, Bearden Oil Company, Blount Excavating, Cherokee Millwright & Mechanical, GEOServices, Massey Electric, Matlock Decal Company and Stowers (CAT) Machinery Corp.
