What won the race: Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, W.Va., won Friday’s Ultimate Mid-Ohio Valley Series Battle on the Hill at Hilltop Speedway. Carpenter outran Corey Conley and his father Freddie Carpenter for a $3,000 victory.
Key notes: Series points leader Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., was not in attendance after damaging his engine in a pair of series wins at Richmond (Ky.) Raceway last weekend. … Dohm has two wins on the season, while Carpenter and Ryan Montgomery have one apiece.
