What won the race: Polesitter Ricky Weiss of Headingley, Manitoba, led all 50 laps, outrunning a hard-charging Shanon Buckingham of Morristown, Tenn., to capture his second Southern All Star Series victory of the season in Smoky Mountain Speedway's King of the Mountain Fall Classic. He earned a $7,500 payday.

Quotable: "I knew we were real good," Weiss said. "I could see (crewman) Shawn's (Gage) signals. His sticks were getting further and further apart. I felt really good until the lapped cars. I was trying to move up and it was give or take a little bit. The bottom was better one lap, the top was better the next. I tried to go through the middle but it was a little too dirty. Finally I was able to Stacy (Boles) and then I just blasted 'er in there to try to get around."
