What won the race: Tom Maddox of Centre, Ala., picked up $3,000 in the 38th annual Rome Boss on the same night Jason Croft of Woodstock, Ga., wrapped up the Dixie-Rome Super Late Model Crown with a runner-up finish. Polesitter Tony Knowles of Tyrone, Ga., led 34 laps before a flat tire knocked him out of the top spot.
Key notes: Jason Croft entered the event tied with Michael Page in the combined Dixie-Rome points chase, and Page fell from contention late when making contact with another car while battling with Croft. ... Along with the title, Croft picked up a $1,000 bonus for the best combined finish in weekend races at Dixie and Rome. Croft won Saturday's feature at Dixie. ... Buster Goss and Brad Hall scratched from the feature. ... Don Jenkins won the Limited Late Model feature and Larry Higgins the Crate Late Model feature.
