What won the race: Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., charged from his 14th-starting position to top polesitter Jack Sullivan of Greenbriar, Ark., and fourth-starting Dane Dacus of Lakeland, Tenn., for a $3,000 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series victory.
Key notes: Second-starting Eric Cooley of Fulton, Miss., was an early retiree. ... Beard picked up his second series victory of 2014 and the 11th of his career; his previous triumph came May 16 at Timberline Speedway in Corley, Texas. ... The Comp Cams-backed series made its first-ever appearance in Paragould. ... The tour's Labor Day weekend doubleheader at Crowley's Ridge and Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Speedway was washed out, pushing Friday's event back one week. ... Only one series race remains.
On the move: The winning Beard started 14th; Clay Fisher improved six spots after starting 12th.
Winner's sponsors: Beard drives an Upton Motorsports-owned Bob Pierce Race Car powered by a Jay Dickens Racing Engine with sponsorship from Gary Beard Trucking, Greg's Sawmill, Rockhard Powder Coating, Team 5 Enterprises, Xtreme Race Graphics and 45 Race Shop.
Points chase: Beard extended his points lead with the victory and should carry a comfortable margin into the tour's season finale at I-30 Speedway near Little Rock, Ark.
