MERIDIAN, Miss. (Oct. 21) — Updates from Friday’s first 20-lap, $2,500-to-win semi-feature for the 28th annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park, which features a $12,000-to-win main event for Super Late Models on Saturday (results unofficial):

First prelim feature

Brian Rickman of Columbus, Miss., led all 20 laps from the pole, winning Friday's first $2,500 semifeature at Whynot Motorsports Park in the opening night of the two-day 28th annual Coors Light Fall Classic. Rickman was challenged heavily by Spencer Hughes while navigating lapped traffic in the closing laps before the two made contact, allowing Rickman to prevail. Hughes, of Meridian, dogged Rickman to the checkers, but settled for second, while Millport, Ala.'s Jeremy Shaw improved three spots to finish third.

Seventh-starting David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., was fourth after running as high as second on laps 7-10 and Dean Carpenter of Coldwater, Miss., marched from 11th to fifth.

Friday's preliminary feature results will be used to set the starting lineup for Saturday's 60-lap, $12,000-to-win main event. Both Rickman and Hughes will start from the pole position of their respective heats.
