Key notes: Enid Speedway hosts the Charlie Lavicky Memorial, a $10,000-to-win Late Model special co-sanctioned between the Ross Foundation Sooner Series and United Rebel Series. … The event is sponsored by Lavicky Sand, the company founded by Charles “Charlie” Lavicky Jr., who died May 12, 2024, at the age of 88. … The two-day show begins with Friday’s heat races and qualifiers, where a set number (to be determined later) will be locked into Saturday’s main event; those not locked in Friday will need to qualify through one of Saturday’s consolations. … Eli Ross of Muskogee, Okla., is fresh off a $6,600 victory at his home track in an event honoring his late brother, Hayden Ross. Eli Ross leads all drivers with three Sooner Series wins thus far, including March 28’s $1,000 season opener at Enid co-sanctioned with the Rebel Series. … Tanner Mullens of Wichita, Kan., is a perfect 5-for-5 in Rebel action this season, earning more than $8,000. … Chris Wilhite Jr. of Chandler, Okla., won June’s $1,000 Sooner stop. … Kip Hughes of Enid, Okla., was a two-time Sooner Series winner last year at his home track, collecting more than $2,000. … Each night has a fireworks display. … Factory stocks, B-mods and hot shots are on the undercard. … Pits open at 4 p.m. and grandstands open at 5, with racing at 8 p.m. in Friday’s opener; racing starts 30 minutes earlier for Saturday’s finale.
