What won the race: Slipping by early leader and last week's WISSOTA 100 winner Chad Becker completing the 15th lap, third-starting Tyler Peterson of Hickson, N.D., paced the final 11 circuits in Sunday's rain-postponed 54th annual Stock Car Stampede at Jamestown Speedway. Peterson endured late-race restarts to beat Becker by 0.636 of a second, securing a $5,054 payday and his second career Stampede victory.
Quotable: “(Chad Becker) got the big one last weekend, it was my turn,” Peterson joked before adding, “I knew the rubber was gonna come back in, so I was just pacing the middle there and all of a sudden I felt it streaking up in the middle. He didn’t know it was there yet and that’s where I got him.”

In Saturday's prelims, Laine Schwehr of Sanborn, N.D., had a rollover accident in his heat race and was flow to a Fargo, N.D., hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. According to the family, on Sunday he was stable and in good spirits.
