Derek Fisher celebrates his second career Battle of the Bluegrass victory.
What won the race: Racing by early leader Colten Burdette on the 11th lap, 16th-starting Derek Fisher of Olympia, Ky., controlled the rest of Friday night's $5,000 Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series-sanctioned Firecracker 40 at 191 Speedway. Fisher overcame several restarts and beat Burdette by 0.731 of a second for his second BoB victory this season (June 20 at Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Ky., worth $5,000).
Key notes: Fisher won his third special at 191 since last fall, and his second this season after securing his first career Ultimate Heart of America Series triumph there on April 19, worth $5,000. ...
