Max Blair grabbed his fourth checkered flag this season at Stateline.
What won the race: Claiming his second five-figure victory on home turf in as many nights, Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., captured Saturday’s unsanctioned 50-lap Super Late Model special at Stateline Speedway. He overtook Dave Hess Jr. for the lead on lap six and controlled the remainder of the distance to defeat the Waterford, Pa., driver by 1.006 seconds for the $10,318 top prize.
Key notes: Blair’s triumph came 24 hours after he earned $10,010 in winning the Jason Dunham Memorial at Pennsylvania's McKean County Raceway. It was his 10th overall checkered flag of 2025, including eight in unsanctioned Supers. … Blair has four wins at Stateline this season. ... The polesitting Blair was outgunned for the lead at the initial start by Hess, but found his way in front on lap six and never looked back. He maintained a precarious edge over Hess throughout a tense race that was slowed by just a single caution flag on lap 21. … Chub Frank held third the entire way and finished a distant way behind Hess. … Jared Miley ran fourth for the first 19 laps, but after briefly reaching third on lap 20 he faded to ninth before retiring on lap 35. He was credited with 15th place. ... Six drivers finished on the lead lap. ... The event was originally slated to be sanctioned by United Late Model Series, but Stateline opted to run it unsanctioned so competitors would not be limited to one specific tire manufacturer. ... The 50-lapper lasted 17 minutes, with 13 starters running at the finish.
On the move: Mike Knight of Ripley, N.Y., started 16th and finished fourth.
Winner's sponsors: Blair’s Centerline Motorsports Longhorn Chassis is powered by a Clements Racing Engine and carries sponsorship from Upstate Auto Group, Creekside Auto Sales, Murphy’s Logging, C and J Dairy, LakeviewFord.com, DeanHonda.com, Briggs Transport, The Gable Inn Bar & Grill, VP Racing Fuels, Bilstein Shocks and Close Racing Supply.
