Key notes: Farmer City Raceway hosts the first national touring race of the season in the Land of Lincoln in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series-sanctioned 19th annual Illini 100. … The two-day program begins with Friday’s 40-lap, $12,000-to-win opener preceding Saturday’s 60-lap, $25,000-to-win finale. Practice is 6-9 p.m. Thursday night. … Brandon Sheppard enters as a four-time Illini 100 winner (2015, ’17, ’19, ’25), including last year’s $20,000 finale. Sheppard also topped 2023’s Farmer City 74, worth $25,000 in Lucas Oil competition. … Two-time and reigning WoO champ Bobby Pierce has two Illini 100 triumphs (2021, ’24) to go along with his $10,000 WoO-sanctioned Farmer City Showdown victory there in June of 2023. … Ethan Dotson earned his first career WoO victory in last year’s $12,000 Illini opener. … Shannon Babb topped 2014’s Illini 100, worth $20,000. … Mike Spatola earned his lone WoO victory there in April 2021, worth $6,000. … Modifieds are on the undercard nightly. … Pits open at noon and grandstands open at 2 p.m., daily; hot laps start at 6:30 for Friday’s opener then 5:30 for Saturday’s finale. … Watch live on DIRTVision. … Practice is 6-9 p.m. Thursday night.
