What won the race: Powering around early leader Jon Mitchell on lap seven, fourth-starting Chris Bragg of Longview, Texas, led the final eight laps to beat an incoming rain storm in winning Saturday's 14-lap rain-shortened Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series feature at Lawton Speedway. Bragg beat Mitchell by 0.754 of a second as they completed the 14th lap before rain struck a lap later, forcing series officials to deem the race official. Bragg was credited with his sixth overall feature victory and second career win on the Revival tour.
Key notes: Bragg bagged his first win since last April 25's Revival Series triumph at Salina (Kan.) Highbanks Speedway, also worth $3,000. ... Bragg waged a back-and-forth battle with John Briggs in the opening laps as they traded the runner-up spot several times before Bragg used a lap-six restart to move by Briggs, then powered around Mitchell a lap later. ... Jon Mitchell paced the opening six circuits from the pole before giving way to Bragg and appeared poised to contend for the lead before heavy rain began falling on the 15th lap; Briggs settled for third. ... The race was slowed by six cautions, the biggest coming for a multicar melee on lap four and necessitating a 15-minute red flag after Joe Gorby and Dakota Dellinger tangled at the exit of turn two, sending Dellinger flipping, collecting Dalon Helm and Mercedes Abercrombie, among others. All drivers were OK; Gorby was disqualified for rough driving and moved to 18th in the final rundown. ... The first yellow flag flew on the second lap when Jason Redman spun and retired. ... Chris Hewitt spun on the sixth lap before calling it a night. ... Andrew Kimzey drew stoppages on lap three and again on lap 14 before pulling off just prior to rain hitting the speedway on the ensuing restart. ... The 14-lap feature, shortened from 25 laps, lasted just shy of 30 minutes with nine starters running when the wet weather moved in.
On the move: James Rini of Wichita, Kan., started 18th and was credited with seventh after rain hit the area on the 15th lap.
