What won the race: Winning the 35-lapper from outside the front row, Rusty Schlenk of McClure, Ohio, captured Saturday's Barney Oldfield Memorial at Oakshade Raceway for a $5,000 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series victory. Schlenk captured the 37th version of the track's traditional race, winning it for the seventh time.
Key notes: Schlenk has won 17 career Oakshade specials going back to August 2008, earning more than $65,000 over that span. ... The event honors the late Barney Oldfield, the longtime Wauseon, Ohio, racing legend, pioneering competitor and two-time Indianapolis 500 starter. … R.J.
