Mississippi Thunder's pits are packed for the three-day Dairyland Showdown.
Key notes: Mississippi Thunder Speedway hosts the World of Outlaws-sanctioned Dairyland Showdown, continuing with Friday’s 30-lap, $10,000-to-win second preliminary night. … The three-day program began when Bobby Pierce led the final 12 laps in winning Thursday’s $10,000 opener and concludes with Saturday’s 50-lap, $40,000-to-win finale. … The points-leading Pierce, of Oakwood, Ill., captured his second victory of the week, adding to his repeat win in Tuesday’s $12,000 stop at Independence (Iowa) Speedway. Pierce also won a $10,000 Dairyland Showdown opener in 2021. … Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, N.C., won last year’s $30,000 Dairyland finale after topping 2024’s $25,000 weekend opener there. … Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, Iowa, topped 2024’s $25,000 Dairyland finale. … Dustin Sorensen of Rochester, Minn., is a two-time Dirt Kings Tour winner at MTS going back to 2020, earning more than $8,000 over that span. … Jake Timm of Winona, Minn., is a four-time Dirt Kings winner there since May of 2019, combining for more than $16,000. … A two-man scramble golf tournament takes place Friday at The Grove; check in is at 7:30 a.m. with an 8:30 tee time. … Modifieds are on the undercard nightly. … Pits open at 2 p.m. and grandstands open at 5 with hot laps at 6. … Watch live on DIRTVision.
