Key notes: The World of Outlaws-sanctioned Dairyland Showdown concludes with Saturday’s 50-lap, $40,000-to-win finale at Mississippi Thunder Speedway. … The three-day program began when Bobby Pierce led the final 12 laps in winning Thursday’s $10,000 opener before Nick Hoffman led the final 16 laps of Friday’s second prelim, also worth $10,000. … Hoffman, of Mooresville, N.C., enters Saturday with a slim six-point advantage over Pierce in the series standings. Hoffman won last year’s $30,000 Dairyland finale after also topping 2024’s $25,000 weekend opener at Mississippi Thunder. … Pierce, of Oakwood, Ill., won a $10,000 Dairyland Showdown opener in 2021. … Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, Iowa, topped 2024’s Dairyland finale there, worth $25,000. … Dustin Sorensen of Rochester, Minn., is a two-time Dirt Kings Tour winner at MTS going back to 2020, earning more than $8,000 over that span. … Jake Timm of Winona, Minn., is a four-time Dirt Kings winner there since May of 2019, combining for more than $16,000. … Modifieds are on the undercard. … Pits open at 2 p.m. and grandstands open at 4 with hot laps at 6; a church outreach service will be held at 4 p.m. with a driver autograph session at 4:30. … Watch live on DIRTVision.
