Key notes: The World of Outlaws Late Model Series concludes its Mid-Atlantic swing with Sunday’s 45-lap, $20,000-to-win Billy Winn Classic … The event honors Winn, one of the top dirt racers of the 1930s and winner of the first race at Bedford Speedway in 1936. Winn, inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2003, made eight career Indianapolis 500 starts. … Bobby Pierce led the second half of Wednesday’s series return to Georgetown (Del.) Speedway, worth $20,000, earning his 50th career WoO victory and eighth of the season. Pierce led all but the opening lap in winning 2024’s $15,000 Winn Classic at Bedford. … Tim McCreadie, who topped last year's $20,000 Winn Classic, led the final eight laps of Thursday’s 45-lapper at nearby Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway for his 41st career WoO feature victory. ...
