Key notes: The Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series concludes its weekend doubleheader with Saturday’s $4,000-to-win Wheel Jam at Dakota State Fair Speedway. … Thursday’s $3,000-to-win Wheel Jam opener rained out at the Huron, S.D., 3/8-mile oval. … Cole Searing of Huron, S.D., used a late-race pass by Josh Skorczewski and led the final three laps at nearby Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, S.D., picking up his first Tri-State win in nearly 10 months and $3,000. Searing has two victories in local WISSOTA Late Models this season at Dakota State Fair and enters seeking his fifth career Tri-State victory at his home track. … Skorczewski, of Aberdeen, S.D., inherited a $3,000 series victory there in 2024 after Charlie Olsen was disqualified for being light at the scales in postrace tech. … Chad Becker of Aberdeen, S.D., topped May 23’s local WISSOTA action and enters with six career Dakota State Fair specials going back to the fall of 2017, earning more than $36,000 over that span. … Chad Olsen of Hendricks, Minn., earned a $2,000 Tri-State win there in the fall of 2024. … A Wheel Jam car show (Saturday) and parade (Sunday) are among off-track festivities. … Midwest modifieds and street stocks are on the undercard. … Pits open at 4 p.m. and grandstands open at 5:30 with hot laps at 6 and racing at 7.
