What won the race: Second-starting Eli Ross of Muskogee, Okla., led the entire distance of Saturday's 25-lap Nutrien Ag Solutions Revival Super Dirt Series feature at Lawton Speedway, giving him the weekend sweep after winning Friday's $2,500 opener at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. Ross raced across the finish line a distant 7.604 seconds ahead of Kylan Garner for his second career Revival Series triumph.
Key notes: Ninth-starting Kip Hughes rounded out the podium finishers. ... While no official confirmation was received, it is suspected the night was slowed by at least one rain delay. ... Touted by the track as the 'first Late Model event in 25 years,' Saturday's main event finished well after 1 a.m. ... Matt Menzie and Glen Powell were both eliminated after the opening lap. ... Jacob Magee, Don Geist, Trevor Geist and Jim Vanzandt scratched, likely because of concerns related to weather and resulting track conditions. ... Series officials later confirmed weather and a live-timing issue with the scoring loop created challenges throughout the night, causing them to skip time trials.
On the move: Andy Bryant of Fort Scott, Kan., started 16th and finished sixth.
Winner's sponsors: Ross’s Rocket Chassis has a Pro Power Racing Engine and carries sponsorship from Ross Construction, Jay Hodge Chevrolet, Morgan Towing & Recovery, The Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation, Peterson Fluid Systems, Prophet Plumbing, Hornback’s Catfish Ranch, Bill Frye Motorsport, Schoenfeld Headers, Bert by Budda Transmissions, Thunderbird Speedway, Eibach Springs and Fox Racing Shox.
