Dallon Murty shows off his winnings at U.S. 30 Speedway.
What won the race: Capping a dramatic weekend sweep on the Malvern Bank West circuit, division rookie Dallon Murty of Chelsea, Iowa, overtook Jesse Sobbing on the ninth lap Sunday at U.S. 30 and cruised to a $3,000 victory. Murty, in his debut at the third-mile oval, added the victory to $5,000-plus triumphs at Park Jefferson (S.D.) Speedway and Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday. The 20-year-old Murty took the checkers 1.554 seconds ahead of Sobbing, the series points leader, and earned more than $14,000 on the weekend.
Quotable: "Oh, it's awesome. It's just a testament to our team, man. Everything's clicking right now and we're just gonna try to stay on top of the ball," Murty said. "Yeah, just another good night, man."
Key notes: Winning his series-leading fourth race of 2025, Dallon Murty added $1,000 to his U.S. 30 earnings with a bonus from Skyline Materials for starting in the sixth starting spot. ... Two cautions slowed the action, the first on the 16th lap when the lapped cars of Andy Eickhoff and Darrel DeFrance tangled on the backstretch. ... On the 26th lap, Brian Kosiski and Dylan Sillman spun simultaneously exiting turn two; Sillman retired. ... Modified standout Jordan Grabouski of Beatrice, Neb., finished 10th aboard a Justin Zeitner-owned No. 30 entry. ... The Tom Kobus Memorial paid tribute to U.S. 30 Speedway's late track prep specialist.
