Tanner English (96) fights off a slide job by Dustin Sorensen (19).
What won the race: Turning back a lap-11 slide job attempt by Dustin Sorensen and repelling late-race pressure from Shannon Babb, second-starting Tanner English of Benton, Ky., scored a flag-to-flag victory in Wednesday's 40-lap World of Outlaws Real American Beer Series feature at Highland Speedway. English beat Babb by 0.465 of a second for the $12,000 payday and his first win of 2025 and the fourth of his career on the national tour.
Quotable: “We struggled this year quite a bit. It’s been a tough year, motors, everything like that,” English said. “To get this done is pretty cool. I wish it was a little more exciting, but when it rubbered, I was happy. I knew I just needed to be patient and stay on the bottom and ride it out, but man, I wanted to pass those lapped cars.”
