Kylan Garner en route to a $4,000 flag-to-flag victory at Belleville.
What won the race: Kylan Garner of Neosho, Mo., led all 15 laps from the pole in winning Saturday's $4,000 Nutrien Ag Revival Super Dirt Series debut at the Belleville High Banks. Garner survived a late-race restart to beat Brandon Conkwright by 2.186 seconds in the King of the Crossroads on the high-speed half mile, grabbing his third Revival victory this season and fifth of his career.
Quotable: “This Rocket (Chassis) has just been a rocket since we got it. Man, it’s really stepped the program up,” Garner said. “We gotta thank all our sponsors, of course, and all you race fans for coming out, you guys are awesome. … My dad was showing me a pretty big gap there, so I assumed we were gonna be good, but that doesn’t mean anything when you get a restart that bunches everybody up. I didn’t want to see that yellow, I knew it was almost over.”
Key notes: Garner's fifth career victory extends his lead on the tour's all-time win list. ... Brandon Conkwright took second from Dusty Leonard on lap 10 and cut Garner's advantage by nearly a second before the race's lone caution flew as they came to take the white flag; Conkwright was unable to keep pace with Garner on the late restart. ... Mike Wiarda slipped by Leonard for third on the lap-14 restart, relegating Leonard to fourth. ... Seventh-starting Jason Rogers also took advantage of the late-race restart, overtaking Dan Smith for fifth. ... Tenth-running Matt Menzie triggered the lap-14 slowdown, while Trevor Geist also retired under the caution. ... The feature lasted eight minutes with 10 starters completing 15 laps. ... Delbert Smith scratched.
