Mason Zeigler celebrates his fourth ULMS victory of the season.
What won the race: Reclaiming the top spot from 10th-starting Spike Moore on the final lap, polesitter Mason Zeigler of Chalk Hill, Pa., beat Moore to the line by 0.672 of a second to win Friday's $7,500 Fan Appreciation Night at Selinsgrove Speedway. Zeigler, who led all but one circuit of the 35-lap feature, scored his fourth Jay's Automotive United Late Model Series victory of the season and seventh of his career.
Key notes: Zeigler secured his seventh overall feature victory of the season. ... Spike Moore took second from Rick Eckert on lap 23 and erased Zeigler's 5.120-second lead, nipping Zeigler by 0.030 of a second to the 34th lap, before Zeigler passed him back as they raced towards the checkered flag. Moore's runner up is his career best touring series finish. ... Eckert, of York, Pa., trailed Zeigler from laps 15-22 before giving way to Moore and settling for third. ... Gregg Satterlee improved five positions to finish fourth. ... Logan Zarin worked his way as high as third at the halfway mark before slipping to seventh. ... Shaun Jones and Matt Cochran each gained eight spots, finishing eighth and ninth. ... Chad Homan slowed from fourth and retired on lap 18. ... Dylan Yoder appeared to slow from 16th, drawing the race's only caution on lap 15. He did not continue and was credited with 21st. ... The 35-lapper lasted 17 minutes, with 15 starters completing the distance. ... Series rookie Brock Pinkerous scratched after time trials.
