David Breazeale celebrates his first feature victory of the season.
What won the race: David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., survived several restarts in leading all 50 laps of Saturday's $5,000 All American on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series at Jackson Motor Speedway. Breazeale held off Neil Baggett on a lap-46 restart and beat him by 0.793 of a second for his first feature win this season and his 37th career MSCCS triumph.
Key notes: Breazeale bagged his first feature win of any kind since July 12, 2024, a Southern All Star Series visit to Penton (Ala.) Raceway, worth $5,000. ... Fourth-starting Neil Baggett inherited second on the lap-46 restart and trailed Breazeale the final five laps, but never truly challenged for the lead. ... Points leader Brandon Carpenter pursued Breazeale the opening 45 laps before retiring to draw the race's fourth and final caution. He was credited with seventh. ... Reigning MSCCS champ Chad Thrash, who entered seeking his fifth straight series victory, started and finished third. ... Ninth-starting Mike Palasini Jr., series winner on March 22 and June 21 at Jackson, moved into fourth on the late-race restart. ... Two yellow flags slowed the action before a lap could be completed following incidents that eliminated Rick Rickman, Ryan Wilson, Bo Slay and Shane Hebert, among others. ... Brian Rickman and Scott Abraham were both eliminated from top-10 running positions during the third stoppage on lap 15. ... The 50-lap All American feature lasted 36 minutes, with five starters completing the distance. ...
