Winning his second World 100 semifeature in as many nights, 10th-starting Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, Ga., overtook polesitter Ethan Dotson on the 14th lap and led the rest of Friday's 25-lap preliminary. McDowell took the checkers 1.406 seconds ahead of sixth-starting Bobby Pierce for a $12,000 payday.
