Bryan Mullis celebrates his second Blue Ridge Outlaws victory this season.
What won the race: Second-starting Bryan Mullis of Rock Hill, S.C., mastered Saturday's fifth annual Robbie Weaver Memorial, leading all 35 laps at Cherokee Speedway. Mullis took the checkers 1.091 seconds ahead of Dale Timms to win $3,505 and his second career Cagle Automotive Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series victory, both coming this season.
Quotable: “We came and tested Thursday, kinda put it like it was there. It was really good, I was glad it was over when it was cause it was kinda getting a little free at the end,” Mullis said. "We’ve been working our butt off trying to get this car to turn and finally, we found a package. I went through everything this past week and finally found something that I like and the car likes. Happy car, happy man. It was a great night.”
