What won the race: Sweeping around Tanner English exiting turn four on the 11th lap, Kyle Bronson of Brandon, Fla., regained the point and cruised the rest of Sunday's second 25-lap Baltes Classic twin feature at Eldora Speedway. Bronson took the checkers 3.747 seconds ahead of the pole-starting English while 16th-starting Haiden Cowan rallied to third.
Quotable: "I had a good car there. I just got a little too impatient there and I got behind him and got aero-tight and got the spoiler knocked off of it," Bronson said. "After that I kind of just had to run a lot higher on the race track than I wanted to. ... We come here to get ready for the (World 100), so you know, it's about time we won here. I run second a lot and I'm looking forward to the next one."
Key notes: Kyle Bronson won for the first time at Eldora; he finished second in prelim features for the Dream (2021) and World 100 (2022). ... Bronson notched his third overall victory of the season; the previous two came at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City. ... With Tanner English hung up in traffic at Eldora, Bronson used the high groove to sweep into the lead on the 11th lap exiting turn four. ... Besides laps 11-25, Bronson also nosed ahead briefly to lead the fourth lap before English went quickly back ahead. ... Polesitter Tanner English led laps 1-3 and 4-10 and survived a scrape with a lapped car to finish second. ... A single caution slowed the action on the 17th lap when Clint Keenan went around in turn three after contact with Bronson, collecting English (English was restored to the second spot per Iron-Man Series rules). ... Fifteen drivers completed 25 laps in the 12-minute race, including 14th-place finisher Seth Daniels, making his first start since breaking a bone in his hand after a fall. ... The 17th annual Baltes Classic presented by Coors Light, split into twin 25-lappers, paid tribute to Eldora Speedway founders Earl and Berneice Baltes. ...
